Sketch - Automatic Selection of Parameter

I recently got myself a copy of SW 2026 - the last version I used heavily was ~2021.

2026 seems to select the parameter entry when sketching - so for example if I sketch a line, click on it, in the feature manager panel at the left the parameter for length has the cursor automatically placed inside.

This is fine but I've got a habit where I bound a key for construction geometry... which I can't use because my keystroke just gets typed into the length

Is there a way to disable this behavior?
