Is taking AP Physics 1 and Physics C: Mechanics together a waste of time?

Question

I am currently a sophomore this year, but next year I will be registering for AP Calc BC (as the corequisite requirement for C:Mechanics). I’m also planning on taking APUSH, AP Lang, AP Chem. I’m thinking about doing taking AP Physics 1 and C:Mechanics together next year because first, I am not really interested in other alternatives for my electives because they don’t really intrigue me, but more so because I’ve heard a good amount of horror stories about C:Mechanics and its difficulty and since I don’t have any prior physics experience, I think that taking AP Physics 1 along with C:Mechanics would allow me to grasp the fundamentals and concepts better so I can understand the content in AP C:Mechanics better. Would it be a waste of time? (I’ve heard AP Physics 1 and C: Mechanics cover extremely similar topics) Would there be too much workload? Would this look bad on my high school transcript? Should I wait until my senior year to take AP Physics C: Mechanics? I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions anyone has to offer.
