Channel 7 News

Does anyone watch the channel 7 News from DC? Do they seem like half the show is dedicated to the weather? I had to switch to channel 9, recently they don't seem to be quite as bad. I simply don't understand why on a normal day, ie no severe weather, there is so much of the show is dedicated to it. There are either 3 or 4 weather segments for each half hour, between this, the sports segment and commercials they can squeeze in maybe 10 minutes of local "news".
