Full Proxied Deck Thoughts

Today at my LGS someone showed up to a pod with only proxies. Now I am generally someone who doesn’t care about proxies, or for that matter what other players are doing at all. I really try to focus on myself in this community. People use proxies at this LGS but for single expensive cards. For the first time today I encountered someone who every single card they had was a proxy of the most blinged out version of each card, super high power, top notch lands. Mind you this was three whole decks of 100 all custom proxied with foil full arts and such and some fan art versions of cards.

This genuinely annoyed me and I cannot figure out why. Again, I usually never care about this stuff and keep to myself. At what point is this not playing a collectible card game if you’re just printing high power at home.

Does anyone else have opinions on this type of thing? Why might this have put me off so much?
