My dad is such an embarassment in public

M17, There are so many instances where I was with my dad that he acts so disrespectful and impatient towards other people. The most embarassing one was when we was at the airport and it was so crowded like we were standing for 2 hours in a line. This guy couldn’t even wait past 30 minutes before shouting like a speaker. He told everyone “MOVE YOUR FUCKING ASSES STOP CROWDING UP THE LINE”. And more embarassing is everyone was silent and ignored him. After that like 5 minutes later he got in a loud arguement with this random tourist guide because my dad wanted to remove a line strip (i dont know what they are called) to “sneak us through quicker” but the tourist guide wouldn’t let us.

Dad: let us through the line

Tourist guide: no if you do that others will do it too

Dad: I don’t care look at the line who do you think you are you don’t have any authority in this place.

(Insults start flying at each other)

Then some other guys started leading my dad away so I guess that managed to make us get through the lines faster. But oh my fucking days this guy won’t shut up after and started sulking to me about how this country is corrupt and to never come back here again (we were visiting relatives). I told him I know and just stop talking. But bro kept rambling and everyone around started giving him looks like does he not have any social awareness?

There are so many other instances like of course fast food places where the place was taking too long to deliver the food because it was crowded so my dad starts intimidating the 13 yr old kid working there (my country allows kids to start working at 13). This happens quite frequently. The main thing is my dad likes to talk about power dynamics and how most people are trying to intimidate and “gain power” over you. To me this sounds like some conspiracy theorist shit. Is there anyway I can calm my dad down because I’ve had a talk with him but hes very ignorant and thinks just because he has a PHD, he is better and more “civilised” than everyone else.
