Will 2026 be medical cannabis’ time to shine after rescheduling to Schedule 3? Interested in thoughtful perspectives, please only comment if you have real perspective

Hi everyone,

I’ve been following the medical cannabis sector closely, especially after the recent move to reschedule cannabis from a narcotics-level drug to Schedule 3 in Australia and USA. With this regulatory change coming into effect, I’m wondering whether 2026 could be the year the industry finally reaches broader acceptance and commercial success. I want to invest a portion of my superannuation money wisely, around $ 5,000 into Australian medical cannabis shares.

In particular, Little Green Pharma’s CEO Paul Long has expressed optimism publicly through ASX announcements and at the company’s most recent Annual General Meeting that the rescheduling could be transformative for the industry. He seems to believe it will expand access, improve patient trust, and open up growth opportunities for licensed producers and related businesses.

So I’m curious:
Does anyone else share this sentiment?
Do you think medical cannabis will have its time to shine in 2026 with Schedule 3 rescheduling?

Looking forward to hearing your perspectives!
