If you’re trying to create a **realistic mirror selfie** that actually feels like a **physical object in a real room** (not a flat UI overlay), this Nano Banana Pro setup is the key.

The realism comes from treating the mirror as a **real, weighted object**—leaning against the wall, casting shadows, and showing subtle glass imperfections. The retro UI frame should feel *printed onto the glass*, not digitally pasted on top.

**How to use it**

1. Open **Nano Banana Pro**
2. Add your reference image
3. Paste the prompt above
4. Use daylight lighting
5. Generate and refine

# Prompt:

"{"intent": "Generate a hyper-realistic photograph of a physical floor mirror with a retro UI frame, leaning against a wall in a fully furnished, lived-in modern studio space, capturing a mirror selfie with distinct glass textures and physical presence.", "frame": {"aspect\_ratio": "4:5", "composition": "A full vertical shot centered on the physical mirror object. To emphasize its material existence and avoid a flat look, the mirror is leaning slightly backward against the wall behind it, creating a subtle perspective tilt.", "style\_mode": "physical\_realism"}, "subject": {"identity": "A person in the reference image (serving as a placeholder for the user's input image), seated casually.", "wardrobe": "Casual contemporary clothing (to be defined by the input image).", "pose": "Seated in a relaxed posture on a chair. The subject explicitly holds the smartphone down at chest or mid-torso level, significantly lower than the chin, ensuring the entire face and head are completely unobstructed and clearly visible in the reflection.", "action": "Taking a mirror selfie with a focus on the self-portrait and the physical environment."}, "environment": {"location\_physical": "The immediate physical space consists of a textured wall (which the mirror leans against) and the polished concrete floor.", "background\_reflection": "The reflection reveals a rich, lived-in space behind the subject: a wooden door frame, a window with venetian blinds casting shadows, and a cluttered wooden console table to ensure depth.", "flooring": "Polished concrete flooring softened by a large, textured modern area rug under the chair.", "props": "The mirror itself is a physical object with a silver bezel. The top interface includes a blue 'untitled' bar, and immediately below it, clearly legible black pixelated text reading 'File Edit View Image Options Drought'. The left side features a vertical toolbar of icons, and the bottom features a color palette. Crucially, the leaning frame casts a realistic shadow onto the wall and floor behind it.", "glass\_materiality": "The surface must look like real glass, not a digital overlay. Add subtle physical imperfections like faint surface dust, very slight smudges, and minor refractive distortions at the edges of the frame."}, "lighting": {"type": "Natural, directional daylight.", "direction": "Side-lighting from the reflected window.", "color\_temperature": "5600K, neutral daylight.", "contrast": "Medium contrast.", "interaction": "The daylight interacts physically with the glass surface, creating faint, realistic specular highlights or a slight glare on the mirror face that overlays the reflection, reinforcing the material depth."}, "camera": {"sensor\_format": "35mm Full-Frame Digital.", "lens": "35mm wide-angle lens.", "aperture\_depth\_of\_field": "f/8, ensuring sharpness across the frame text and the reflected background.", "shutter\_speed": "1/60s", "iso": "ISO 400", "camera\_position": "Standing eye-level relative to the subject, looking slightly downward to match the angle of the leaning mirror surface."}, "negative": {"style": "No flat 2D perspective, no digital overlay look, no perfectly clean invisible glass, no empty white voids.", "content": "No phone blocking the eyes, no floating objects, no distorted text."}}"

What makes this mirror selfie feel real:

* The mirror is **physically leaning**, adding depth and perspective
* Subtle **dust, smudges, and edge distortions** on the glass
* Natural daylight interacting with the mirror surface
* A lived-in background (door frame, blinds, cluttered console) for depth
* Retro UI elements that stay sharp without breaking realism

**Pro tip:** Keep the phone **below the chin** so the full face stays visible. This alone dramatically increases realism and avoids the “AI selfie” look.

This style works perfectly for **editorial portraits, nostalgic tech aesthetics, and high-end Instagram mirror shots**. Share your mirror selfie with a retro ui frame photos below!
