Do people usually stop talking right after they schedule a date?

I am talking to someone and we scheduled a date. The last thing she did was react to my messages on Instagram and didn't respond to my message. The message had a question in it so I was confused by her just reacting. Anyway, do people usually stop talking over text once a date is scheduled?
