Returning to nannying after 3 years of owning a licensed home daycare AMA + need recs
I was a professional nanny / family assistant for 3 years and have owned and operated a licensed home daycare for coming on 3 years. My decision to close my daycare has been emotional and challenging to navigate, but I know that it is the right choice for me right now. I adored being a nanny and miss working with one close knit family, i look back so fondly and am feeling excited and eager to return to it, at peace with the circumstances I'm closing (enrollment dropped super low and I have an opportunity to close now before committing again for another 3 ish years as well as most kids are getting ready for school ). Looking to answer questions and for fun because I know a lot of Nannies consider leaving for various reasons and here I am coming back to it ! I'm working with agencies this time around and I was wondering if anyone has had positive or negative experiences with working with them, if they really felt the agency helped them secure the right job for them , some tips for working with them. Also looking for your list of specific questions you like to ask your families during interviews to get to know their parenting styles and avoid red flags. Thank you for reading !! Hoping to gain some insight as I return to this unique job market again for the first time in awhile 😃
