post-grad job search
hi all!! i'm wrapping up my masters' and will be graduating this may and had a few questions relating to my post-grad job search. my internship class is very supportive, but my professor has not been incredibly helpful with providing professional advice relating to our post-graduation career search. i am not planning on staying with my practicum/internship site due to myself wanting to explore career opportunities outside of my current state, as well as looking for a change of scenery compared to group practice.
i know that i should probably start assembling my resume and looking for potential job listings within the next few months, but i'm unsure to the typical timeframe and turnaround most counselors experience when applying for jobs after graduation. i have a goal for myself to apply to most jobs by march, as that will give me at least 3 months to arrange any move/relocation needed, but i wasn't sure how far out most organizations plan hiring/employment.
additionally, i'm looking for specifics hiring organizations typically look for in a resume/potential hire, especially given the current job market.
thanks :)
