Why does no one ever talk about weed as a psychedelic?

The other night I was smoking a j which is a very benign thing for me as I'm a fairly heavy weed user but the evening took a completely different turn when I started noticing objects shiftingand the feeling of falling, I was on the couch when suddenly the dore Infront of me looked 10 meters tall and I started to feel my body twist and turn like a snake while I didn't actually move a multimeter and also the environment around me started to shift, warp and transform slightly for brief moments while exhaling and reality felt like a rollercoaster, from that point on it turned into an absolute nightmare with this unexpected trip embodying all my insecuritys and psychological pain points and surfacing them in a very harsh way while I was also feeling like I'm going to vomit

I smoked around 11 pm and was practically stuck to the couch till 2:30 am Woke up the next day still feeling high and like my life was collapsing... This seriously took me a huge step back in terms of mental health

Has anyone heard of anything like this before? I've been smoking weed for a while and never had anything like it It was way stronger than a "average" mushroom trip and was extremely chaotic and immersive

Edit: I did two 5 Minuite ice baths that morning which might be correlated... Thought I'd add it for context and also this isn't an issue with low tolerance I've been smoking regularly for close to 2 years
