After BG3

I'm new to the game after BG3. I'm in the first area after the beginning ship. I see the same charm of BG3 with obviously much less production value but I think "ok, this is the awesome Larian I know". But... It's just weird... I never really played anything like BG3 before and just fell in love. I'm struggling with DOS2. Has anyone felt this coming from BG3? Should I push through. I'm so tempted to just go back to BG3 but I hear this story is better.
