Moving states & driving test

I'll need to move from Vic to Qld for university, but I haven't gotten my L's yet. Should I complete my driving test and begin my hours here in Vic or should I wait until I get to Qld and register there?

Sorry if this is a stupid question - I have no idea whether the hours I get in Vic can be transferred up to Qld.
