If you truly want to make Amends for your service, please actually do something about your government

I’m a non-American. The rest of the world (except Israel but who cares about them) desperately wants you to put a stop to your government’s evil actions. If you’re really anti-trump, then prove it by materially opposing him. By this I don’t mean just voting or canvassing for another useless democrat, or even going to a basic solidarity protest. I want you to take much more effective action than that. Take a look at how the rest of the world organises and takes action. Italy managed to shut down the whole country despite having a fascist government. If you get people organised there’s a wide variety of actions you can take.

There are people I love who live in Latin America and the Caribbean. This whole week I’ve been wracked with anxiety because I fear them getting displaced, maimed or worse. My country has also been the victim of imperialism, and so I have a low opinion of anyone in imperialist militaries. But if you can stop your government from harming my friends, then I will personally forgive you. If anything happens to any of them I will never forgive and never forget. You’ve had military training, you have skills that most normal people don’t have. You’ve helped topple other governments, so there’s no excuse for not being able to topple your own.
