Social Rejection of Homosexuality in Jordan
Living as an LGBTQ+ individual in Jordan presents serious social and psychological challenges. Society largely rejects the idea of same-sex relationships, whether between two men or two women, and often responds with intolerance and hostility. This rejection extends beyond relationships to personal expression, where even minor choices—such as a boy wearing an earring—can provoke harsh judgment and aggressive behavior.
Such societal attitudes create an environment of fear, discrimination, and emotional harm, forcing many individuals to conceal their identity in order to protect their safety and dignity
