Those who get tattooed, what’s your experience?
I’m a tattoo artist and I’m heavily covered in tattoos. This last year was so bad for my symptoms that it lead to my diagnosis of N1, though my cataplexy is minor. Now I am at the point where I am trying different meds and I’m not sure if I should take my stimulant or not for the days that I will be getting tattooed! I haven’t had good luck with sodium oxybates but I suspect that also would benefit the whole tattoo experience, I unfortunately probably can’t take them.
I used to be able to sit longer (6-10 hours), now I can only sit about 3-4 hours and it always ends in me getting an adrenaline dump at the end where I get light headed. I haven’t taken my stimulants the days I’ve gotten tattooed cause I’m not sure if it’ll allow me to “feel it” more since I won’t be as tired, or if it will take away the adrenaline dump at the end.
After sitting a while so I don’t pass out, I usually get shakey, then I come home and immediately have to nap and eat and then I feel better. I still feel like I got hit by a truck but I can function again. What’s your guys experience with tattoos? Does it trigger sleep attacks or anything for you?
