Manager is plotting against me

Hey everyone, I’m dealing with an ongoing issue with my manager and I’m at a loss on what to do.

I’m looking for two things: What type of lawyer would I need? Is this something to pursue legally?

For some background, my dad worked at the company I did for a very long time and was fired at the end of June. What he was fired for is unknown, but presumably, it was more of an excuse for corporate to get rid of him. He held a high management position and is considered an SME his craft. Towards the end of 2025 he, started his own business in the same field, and I made it clear for him to not tell me about anything that he does because it would be a conflict of interest and he agrees.

My problems started in late October, where my immediate manager started accusing me of feeding him information about jobs that we were doing in locations that “only we would know about”. In reality he talks to many people in the company and many of the customers we had because he dealt with them for 20+ years and I can 100% say without a doubt that it was not me doing it. I was told that I was untrustworthy, but I’m a trustful person then was accused of telling him more information. This finally came to head in November and I told his immediate supervisor and everything was dropped.

Early December, I received a call out to come look at a job for a customer and quote on it. I went the following morning looked at it and sent the information to my manager then they quoted on it. Well in the background, my dad received a call to look at the same thing and was cheaper than we were. I didn’t know about this until after the fact.

My job relies heavily on communication with customers and critical information to equipment that we work on.

I came back from PTO this past Monday and was told by other employees that my manager has been accusing me of releasing information about that job to my dad because he won the bid and that he’s going to start with withholding information from me about jobs that are going on. He started that by giving me a location to go to Monday morning, this past Sunday night and refused to reply to my text and calls requesting contact information and equipment information. He has since badmouth me and told other employees that he has proof that I have been giving away information.

The proof he has is that he called a supplier, asked them if my dad had bought anything from them, the supplier said no, and now has said that I might have stolen materials from the shop and gave it to him or he took materials when he left.

Managers at the same position have told me that he’s also been trying to get me fired for these things.

I’m genuinely an innocent party and I need some direction on what to do. I also apologize if I’m all over the place I’m just really frustrated while writing this. Thank you for any advice I can’t receive
