My sisters are trying to hide their autism diagnosis.

Seeking Advice

Hello. I am the eldest of 4 sisters. We are all autistic.

My 2nd oldest and 2nd youngest sister were diagnosed a few years ago and are in their teenage years (i wont disclose their real ages).

We all 3 are all high masking. I have higher support needs than my 2 younger sisters and get a few accommodations. I thrive.

Unfortunately, my sisters are bullied at school. And i guess which is why they are ashamed of their diagnosis. Idk. My second oldest sister doesn’t really accept herself anyway and rejected all accommodations right away and is trying to go through school without help. I find it so problematic that she is choosing that route because I KNOW she is going to be burned out eventually. She also has a lot of internalised ableism and finds it embarrassing when people are visibly disabled and get accommodations. My second youngest sister got into a fight with my parents because they disclosed her AUDHD diagnosis to her new homeroom teacher. She wants to hide it so badly. She argued to the point where she hyperventilated and had a meltdown.

I fear for their futures. I fear that if they don’t accept their state of being, they are going to struggle mentally and may burn out completely. I find it unfortunate that they were so targeted and bullied. I already see them going down a dark path. I am not really on good terms with them, but i feel like i have to warn them. How can i convey this concern to them?
