Does my cat have a mouth infection?

I can’t post a pic but still need some advice. She had two teeth pulled over a week ago. Now there’s a brown / yellow spot I just noticed near the back of her mouth . Should I be worried? I’m traveling with her right now so I can’t take her to her normal vet until next week.
