NY, I was furlough from my company, but they are operating.

Hello! I'm from NY and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do about this situation. I was hired in the summer by a company in NY, months later financial problems arose and they ultimate closed operations. Everyone got furlough during the holidays. No job has hired me yet. However, I found out today they technically didn't close and they kept certain personnel throughout the last few weeks. The company made those people swear secrecy over this and up until now I haven't heard back from them.

Is there anything I can do?
