Did Anyone Interpret The Blood Transfusion Scene In Fury Road As A "Love Scene?"

I've always considered the scene in Fury Road where Max gives his blood to Furiosa as a love scene between the two characters and often I get odd looks when I say this to people. But hear me out...

- Max gets very close and intimate with Furiosa in this scene, even sharing his name with her which takes a lot of trust and closeness for him to do.

- He's basically "penetrating" her with the needle and providing her with "life giving fluids." I mean... it's rather obvious if you're gonna interpret it that way. But the symbolism is there.

However, it wasn't until the "Furiosa" film that this really hit home for me given her relationship with Jack, who basically is Max in everything but name. Furiosa does seem to have a type... Type O negative that is!

Granted I really liked how the transfusion scene was staged, not as a blatant love scene but as a symbolic one. I just wonder if anyone else picked up on this as well.
