Other than Shenmue, what other games feature modern ordinary characters, with realistic abilities, in mundane/realistic settings?

Other than shenmue, are there any games set in the real world, with limited supernatural, fantasy, sci-fi elements?

I'm trying to come up with examples and drawing a blank. Red Dead Redemption is the closest, but it's not in a modern setting. Yakuza is close, but it gets really wacky with massive amounts of brawling.
