Panga vs Cayo

Question

Taking a family cruise and will be at various beaches. I was thinking of getting a backpack that I could use for hauling necessities (towels, sandals, toys) that would keep water and sand out (or keep wet stuff inside). I bought the Cayo 35L, but it was too big and bulky. I'm now considering either the 25L Cayo or the 28L Panga.

Anyone have these, or have comparitive opinions on these.

  • Cayo
    • More traditional zippers that are less likely to frustrate you as an EDC
    • Aquaguard zippers can peel over time
    • Interior space is smaller than Panga
  • Panga
    • Fully waterproof
    • No organization; just a big bucket (good?)
    • Hydrolok zippers need lube and teeth can break
