Don’t know why the mods keep removing this. This doesn’t violate any rules.

A couple weeks ago, I asked you guys about whether or not this WASR 10/63 was worth 400 bucks OTD in the condition it was in. Everyone unanimously agreed, but upon closer inspection, it smelled AWFUL and had a tinge of orange on the patina everywhere. I managed to negotiate down a further 100, which brought me to 300 OTD. I have a receipt to prove it. However, she needed some serious love. I completely stripped her down, and gave every corroded area a generous amount of PB blaster, let it sit, and went to work with fine steel wool and a brass bristle brush. Wipe with microfiber and repeat. Also used Casey birchwood gun scrubber, and sealed all the metal with their barricade product once all the areas and crevices I could reach were totally clean as best to my ability. Once everything dried, I put ballistol on all the metal parts and parts of the gun that needed to be lubricated. Looks much better. The video is post cleaning, I wish I could post another video of before the deep cleaning. But now it doesn’t smell bad anymore at least. I also put a TINY amount of ballistol in the gas tube just to preserve it for storage until I can shoot it.

But yeah. 300 bucks for a neglected AK that just needed a serious deep scrubbing and some love.
