Question regarding how you guys feel regarding genres

Do you not mind when pop punk or alt-pop or emo/emo-pop are included in post hardcore? I notice a lot of softer poppy music on this sub I would consider pop punk/emo-pop and I don’t know if I’m even in the right place anymore for the kind of music I’m looking for the community of. I don’t mean my question rude, I am asking genuinely so I know if my view of post hardcore SHOULD include mall-core emo, emo-pop, pop punk, etc. Just confused and looking for clarity.
