Abnormal OCT Results - UK

I'm a 57-year-old female and had an OCT test during my optician's appointment today.  Unfortunately, the results were abnormal (lots of red) and the eye pressure was elevated so I am being referred to the ophthalmology department at my local hospital but told the wait time is 3 to 6 months (however, when I looked at the hospital website, it actually states 37 weeks for first appointment!) Naturally, I'm feeling quite anxious and curious about what will happen during the appointment and whether I will receive the results there and then?
