Membership upgrade

I take class at a studio in WA.. i previously had the unlimited membership but took some time off due to schedule conflicts. I came back with the 4 class a month package in October but now want to do platinum barre for 2026. I called my studio to upgrade and the gal on the phone said i needed to email the studio and then corporate would need to approve it? She said it wasn’t an option to upgrade over the phone or in person. It’s been 4 days since I’ve emailed my studio and I’ve not heard back.

Just wondering if this is how upgrading works? It seems weird that they’d need approval to take more money from me lol and i want to get into class 😫
