I (19F) find it hard to give my boyfriend (19M) space
as the title says, i’m really struggling with being without my boyfriend. my boyfriend 19M and I 19F have been dating for 3 years next month, and i never really had this problem before. we broke up briefly in may (i didn’t feel seen with his effort, i felt emotionally disconnected and neglected), however ever since we got back together, i’ve felt super attached to him, especially within the past couple months. I love when he has his me time, or goes out with friends, but i’m always insanely jealous. i want to spend every waking moment with him, which i know isn’t healthy, and obviously isn’t something he’d want. he’s super introverted and sometimes just needs to chill by himself. i can’t drive, so i mainly see him when he is able to drive to me, which makes it even harder when i miss him extra and he might feel pressured to drive here. i just love him so much and all i think about is him, and it’s becoming an unhealthy attachment that’s harming our relationship. he likely feels a bit smothered, and i feel rejected when he doesn’t feel like seeing me. he also doesn’t feel comfortable with me having his location (which is fair, he only really works, plays golf or stays with his mum/dad).
how do i get over this feeling and start being more independent, and less obsessed with seeing him all the time?
