Rhythm guitarist looking to transition to drumming

First time in this sub, looking for advice.

I’ve been playing in a band for about a year as a rhythm guitarist, recently a member left which means we’ve had a reshuffle and after playing for a couple hours on my colleges kit and really enjoying it - I think I might make the switch.

I don’t yet have a proper acoustic kit but I do have this old E-kit that I’m going to dust off.

Just wondering, what are the fundamentals I need to know for this instrument and what to expect?
