static chairs

I have recently bought these pink velvety bar stools for my new apartment and they are SO staticky. It literally takes one swipe with your hand to hear those buzzing electricky noises. My cat loves these chairs but i can’t touch her while she’s on them cuz either one of us will get shocked every time. Is there anything i can do? I absolutely HATE it. Is there any spray for it?

Keep in mind i cant take the covers from the chairs to wash them cuz they are permanently glued to the seats. Thanks for any help!
