1991 300ce crank but no spark

So i have this 1991 300ce project car that has no spark whatsoever. As i understand it, the previous owner tried repairing it to no avail. I have replaced the ezl (it was toast even aside from this issue) and im not receiving any spark. I have tested the two terminals on the coil that screw in. Both get voltage, the last centre coil that routes to the distributor gets no voltage. What could the issue be? I should note that ive tried two separate coils atp. I have used a test light and multimeter and both read nothing at the distributor wire.
