It’s the little things

Vent

Usually that’s a positive statement, right?

Not for me today!

Just keeping myself and my kids alive takes all my energy, and a lot falls to the wayside. I try to make things easier but accepting how my family naturally act. Like clothes get dropped wherever they take them off- so I have clothes baskets in almost every room. Same with rubbish bins. I’ve worked hard to just MYSELF to put my trash in the bin, I have a basket within reach of my bed so my bedside table doesn’t become the bin.

And then my 4 year has a tantrum and in his anger her upends my bin directly onto my bedroom floor. Now my floor is covered in cheese stick wrappers, candy wrappers, pikster dental floss sticks, and random scraps of paper. And I just can’t deal with picking it all up. I’ll get to it eventually, it’s just so frustrating that even when I try to work with what little energy I have, it can easily backfire!

(Energy was used on just getting the cheese sticks to eat and flossing my teeth. Self care counts more than trash collection, right?!)
