Is the cervix always lower during certain times of the month despite arousal?

Sometimes I hit my wife’s cervix and it hurts - this is almost always right before her period and in certain positions like legs over her head. I know the cervix is lower during this time of the month but does it also mean I’m not turning her on enough or that’s not really a factor?

We don’t normally have this issue during the rest of the month or in other positions (I’m not well endowed for the record, very average).

I’m hoping a number of women on here have noticed this in their own lives!
