Dating after thirty?

Can anyone offer any advice or words of wisdom for dating after turning thirty? I’m actually 32, about to be 33, and just ended my 8 year relationship right before Thanksgiving. Obviously I’m super vulnerable at the moment and lots of feelings are coming up but the one that keeps surprising me is how afraid I am. My exes brother made a lot of jokes over those 8 years about how women who aren’t married or in a committed relationship at/after thirty are “fruitcakes”- no one wants them. Every time he made those jokes i just rolled my eyes and wrote it off as bullshit. “Make sure you get a ring before thirty, or else I’m gonna call you fruitcake!” Ugh sure thing bub. But now it’s like this voice is yelling it repeatedly in my mind.
