What is the part of your country culture you think is most misrepresented abroad?

Culture

In Spain, I would say that the most misunderstood thing abroad is the siesta.

No shops close for a siesta, and most people don't take siestas.

People don't know how to dance flamenco either (it's a dance only from the south).

Most people do not eat tapas on a daily basis. Spanish cuisine is wonderful and diverse, but no Spaniard would say that tapas are something to highlight.

And 99.9% of the population doesn't like bullfighting and has never been to a bullfight.
