I still feel grief and regret a year after my abortion
I 24F at the time had an abortion last year in March 2025. I was in an accelerated Xray program and would’ve had the baby on my last semester with registry prep. I lived with Roomate’s at the time and didn’t really have parents who would’ve let me move back home. My parent’s home is very unstable and dangerous so I didn’t want my kid being in that environment either. My bf didn’t have the finances or a place for it either.
I felt like I wouldn’t have been able handle full time school, full time work , clinicals and registry prep if I carried the pregnancy.
I just graduated and passed my boards and just I feel so depressed and I feel like I should’ve been stronger and kept the pregnancy. I feel so much regret and “what if” thoughts.
I’m 25 now and all of my friends and people around me are having kids and it hurts so much. I feel like I’m getting older, running out of time, and now I’m having a harder time getting pregnant.
Sometimes I think “I should’ve dropped out and went back”
But I’ve also seen mothers though school out, carried their baby and became successful. And I am starting to think I gave up too easily
It’s hard having grief, but I was just in a crappy rough decision with school and what was the right choice.
