Tired of axe propaganda

That's p much it. The weapon is genuinely awful. Not sure why people think it's good. For context I beat Chronos on night 11, don't even remember if I used the twin blades or the torches, because they're both good and functional weapons out of the box.

Is the axe only useable if you have the Thanatos buff or whatever? It seems to just guarantee that you take unnecessary damage because of long clunky animations, while providing the massive benefit of less dps overall than just using any other weapon, while also being slower. It has bigger individual hit numbers I suppose, that's about it.

It seems like the noob weapon that night 100+ first clear players think is good, because they have every possible buff in the game active at that point. Not trying to be a dick, genuinely there is nothing wrong with long clears or using weapons you enjoy, but let's not pretend it's even close to being as good as the other weapons. Hell I cleared with the skulls, which everyone calls clunky and awkward.. I don't get it please enlighten me!
