Curious to know what happens after the revolution??
Most people in this thread seem to support a revolution in Iran, and I genuinely hope you all eventually find peace and stability.
I’m from Bangladesh, and in 2024 we went through something very similar. Our previous government was deeply corrupt and unfit to lead. Mass civil protests took place, many people were killed, and eventually the regime fell.
But now, more than 16 months later, many of us are not happy with what followed. One of the biggest problems is that the main leaders who emerged after the revolution were linked to a political group called Shibir, which historically does not believe in Bangladesh’s independence and views it as a failure. During the protests, they hid their political identity. After gaining power through that deception, they have been empowering extremist groups. All of this is happening under the shadow of Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus’s global image. Many people here believe he used his international connections, including with the Clinton network, to influence the Biden administration in favor of this transition. There are also widespread beliefs that foreign actors — including the US, Turkey, and Pakistan’s ISI — were involved, and that international media (like AP/AFP) helped spread revolutionary messaging during curfews and internet blackouts. To be clear: I still believe the previous government had to go. But once the state collapsed, there was no real plan for governance. In that power vacuum, organized extremist and foreign-backed networks moved in. Now major national resources are being handed over to foreign companies, and ordinary people are paying the price.
So my genuine question for IRANIANS is:
What are your thoughts about the “day after”? Who do you realistically think will lead the country? Is there a clear political alternative, or just hope that something better will emerge once the current system falls?
From our experience, removing a bad government is only the first step. What comes after can be just as dangerous if there’s no credible, united leadership ready to take responsibility. I’m asking this with respect and genuine concern, not to discourage anyone, but because I’ve seen how fast things can go wrong after a revolution succeeds.
