Room with no outlets - can I safely chain a long extension cord with a power bar to power personal electronics?

I’ve calculated that I’ll need to run a 16-foot extension cord to reach said room. It would be powering a computer, monitor, desk lamp, and phone charger, which I’ve estimated at a load of 15 amps.

I have a power bar with surge protection now. Is there a safe way to carry those 15 amps at this distance to plug into the power bar?

In my limited Googling, it seems like I’d need a 12 or 10 gauge cord to handle the load, but this is complicated by possible voltage drops at the chain point. Is that even relevant at these distances and cable size?

Thanks!
