Question about purple love grass seedlings

Hi there! I’m starting some seeds indoors this year, and I’ve got purple love grass (Eragrostis spectabilis) seedlings in some cells. Multiple seedlings came up in most of my cells. Should they be thinned, or like some other grasses, does it not matter? Lastly, how do you know when to up-pot grass since there are no true leaves to help make that timing decision?
