Why does everyone put peppers on Philly cheesesteaks here?

-Soft long roll with a slightly crispy outside -beef ribeye (sliced thin)

• COOPER SHARP CHEESE! -salt & pepper. It need not any other seasoning. The ribeye already has all the flavor.
• caramelized yellow onions

NO peppers, no mushrooms. No cheese whiz.. It’s really that simple. Just call it a cheesesteak if you wanna add the other stuff. Just in case anyone here wants to open a restaurant and add it to their menu..
