Need advice: Traffic Citation (316.123) involving a 3-car crash in Seminole County, FL
Hi everyone, I was involved in a car accident in Seminole County, FL. I was making a right turn and was struck by a vehicle making a left turn, which then collided with a third vehicle.
The officer arrived late and didn't witness the crash, but issued me a citation under F.S. 316.123(2)(A) "Violation of Right-of-Way" with a "Crash" designation and $5000 property damage.
As an international student/visa holder, I am extremely worried about the impact on my visa status. I've heard horror stories about visas being revoked due to traffic issues.
- Should I hire a traffic lawyer to plead "Not Guilty"?
- Given the officer didn't witness the event, what are my chances of getting it dismissed?
- How will this affect my visa if I just pay the fine and take traffic school?
Any advice or experiences with Seminole County courts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
