How to find the real estate agent best for you? (Massachusetts)

Just wanted to see if anyone had advice for how to look for a real estate agent. The tough part is we are looking to buy within a large radius due to pricing and low inventory so I’m not sure how to find someone who knows about all of the areas. We are looking West of Boston within an hour drive. We could go north to Westford area or could go south all the way to Norwood to Foxborough and everything in between. We are also open to southern NH. Does location really matter within an hour or so drive? Or are we thinking too much about this and should focus on finding an agent we like and going from there.
