Weather

I have recently travelled most of the Australian east coast, however never made it to Adelaide. I am looking at moving to South Australia State but during my time in Melbourne I was very put off by the cold wind and the fact it wasn’t that hot. Is Adelaide / The state as a whole, the same sort of vibe or are the winters shorter? How cold does it ever get there I suppose is the better question? Thank you in advance.
