Why did Tyson’s get rid of all the seating?

I was at Tyson’s corner recently with my elderly mother and discovered that the mall has apparently gotten rid of nearly all the chairs and benches. There was pretty much nowhere for her to sit and rest in between stores anymore. Even that spot by the Macys where there used to be some nice chairs is now occupied by some Teslas and people trying to sell them.

Is this the modern restaurant-style “give us your money and get the hell out immediately” hospitality towards customers that they’ve adopted or is there something else going on?
