A Christmas ghost encounter
I been having paranormal expierences for a long time, but one decided to happen near Christmas.
I was sitting across the living room in a lazy-boy chair. We had out the Christmas tree up a few days prior and we had only a few ordiments on it as we misplaced our box of ordiments and couldn't find them in time.
I was home alone and just thinking completely randomly "what if an ordiment fell off the tree and it was one of mine". Aha.....
A few seconds later an ordiment thats small and light (and I put back far on the tree as I didnt want it to fall and break) fell off the tree and rolled across the living room carpet (from rolling straight to the end of the couch and only CURVING around the end of the couch to rolling straight again to me!!!!) to just a few feet away from me. The couch is a solid 4 feet from the tree and the ordiment wasnt like guided by rolling against the side of the couch or something.
I thought "no way.....this cant say my name on it". I picked it up. It did. I stood in shock for a minute just staring back and forth at the ordiment and the tree. It didn't fall off bc it was far back on the tree. It couldn't have rolled SO FAR bc it didnt have much momentum when it fell and its light so there wasnt much weight for it to carry across our thick carpet. How did it manage to only curve perfectly around the couch?? Also, there was no air as the AC/heating was off (we trying to save on bills).
I then heard footsteps down the hallway going away from the Christmas tree and just stopping...I havent had an encounter since.
We call it our house ghost lol. It often just knocks things off shelves/whatever and opens/coses cabinets. It imitates us at times (like doing smth that a specific family member does only) but isnt harmful. So i wasnt really scared of the ghost but I was more freaked out that it like "read my mind" . Or maybe I got that thought randomly just because the ghost was about to do it? 🤔
Ive had many expierences (mostly when I lived with my dad...who didnt say goodbye after using a ouija board) but theyre not so common now after my siblings and I moved in with our grandparents.
