Studio chatter at the start of Hey God: word between “we are ready” and “let’s go”? (0:04)
At the very beginning of Hey God, before the song actually starts, there’s a bit of studio chatter.
You can clearly hear:
But if you listen very closely around 0:04, there seems to be a very short word or sound between “we are ready” and “let’s go.”
I’m Spanish (non-native English speaker), so I might be more sensitive to the phonetics here, but to my ear it sounds like a quick “yeah” or another short affirmative response before “let’s go.”
It’s extremely low in the mix and almost swallowed, which makes it hard to identify.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Has this ever been confirmed in interviews, liner notes, or isolated audio?
At the very beginning of Hey God (Bon Jovi), before the song actually starts, there’s a short bit of studio chatter.
You can clearly hear “Okay… we are ready”, and then “let’s go”, but if you listen very closely around second 4, there seems to be a short word or sound between “we are ready” and “let’s go.”
I’m Spanish (non-native English speaker), so I might be picking up something that native speakers would ignore, but to my ear it sounds like a quick “yeah”, “alright”, or even a very short affirmative response before “let’s go.”
It’s extremely low in the mix and almost swallowed, which makes it hard to identify.
Has anyone else noticed this or isolated the audio? Curious to hear what others think.
