Multiple bleeding episodes quickly turning brown

I’m writing here feeling very overwhelmed and hoping to hear some encouraging experiences. I am 7 weeks pregnant today and have been experiencing daily bleeding for the past 8 days. It usually starts as bright red and then quickly turns brown. As soon as this began, I took PTO from work and have been staying home, resting, and keeping myself well hydrated. Each morning I notice some mild abdominal pain along with the bleeding, but both the pain and the bleeding remain minimal and tend to settle after a while. Every time I contact my OB’s office, I’m advised to go to the ER only if the bleeding becomes heavy and bright red or if I develop severe cramping. Since neither has happened, I haven’t gone to the ER and haven’t been able to get much additional guidance. They’ve described this as a “threatened miscarriage,” but it’s been happening every day, which has been very emotionally difficult. I have an ultrasound scheduled for this Tuesday, and I’m trying my best to stay patient while waiting, though it has been incredibly hard—especially since I experienced a miscarriage last year. If anyone here has gone through something similar, I would be very grateful to hear your stories. Did the bleeding continue like this, and did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby?
