Trying Kratom tea, is it effective?

Hello all, I wasn’t sure if this was the right sub to ask- but I figured ide ask anyway.

We’re visiting from America, and usually drink kratom powder or capsules. But we’re traveling through South Korea and don’t want to risk legal consequences going through their country with Kratom.

I’m seeing fresh Kratom tea is more available than powder. Is it effective? I drink about 10g a day, planning on cutting down- but I didn’t know if Kratom tea would have an effect like the powder. Also I found a shop that does have powder in Chiang Mai- doesn’t anyone know if Kratom powder is good quality?
