Why don't we learn every religion then make our final choice?

Most of the people around the world follow the religion of their community or parents, so it's a geographical and/or family stuff. So why don't we just make it a subject and let people whatever they want to believe in.

Clarification: I'm posting this with genuine curiosity to know because I feel like if I were born somewhere else, I would simply believe in another religion.
